Our Playermade Hurley, tailored to the individuals playing style. Made using our finest handpicked Ash with grade A grains. Used by numerous Intercounty and Club players.

Objective: Improve Hurley Aerodynamics.

Reduce air resistance allowing players to stike the sliotar faster and freely with more power, without compromising on control and accuracy.

Design Brief:

We have combined popular aspects and elements of various styles from our collection and made the all in one ultimate go to hurley for modern day hurling.

What to expect?

A round but slimmer hooked handle providing optimum maneuverability and comfort. The hurley should feel like an extension of the arm to help with your reaction time. When shifting hand positions down the hurley (shortening the hurl) we find a slightly wider but slim like mid shaft provides improved accuracy and control on the strike. The Mid shaft width will then stay prity constant right up to the neck where it connects to bás head of hurley. The neck of the hurley will not be much wider than mid shaft so hurl is well balanced and moves through the air at speed, ideal for the wristy player. The edges are squared off and sharpened going into the bás head with heel and toe points both highly defined. We will keep as much thickness to the bás as possible to generate power on the strike whilst taking into account your desired weight specification.

Limerick Style - Big Bás

The head of the hurley is longer like the old style hurleys. The bás extends and turns out more at the toe than other styles, so it has a slightly different feel to it than the rest. The edge of toe is slightly rounded, heel sharp. Thickish handle grip.

Similar to Limerick but more square and less extreme turn in the toe. Sharper distinguishable pointed edges. Standard oval shaped handle grip.

This would be our large bás hurley and newest eddition. Increased sweet spot for control and striking, evenly distributed bás thickness. Oval shaped handle grip.

Laverty / Saffron Hybrid - A cross between our standard Laverty Senior hurley and the Saffron Style hurley. Slightly larger bás size than the standard Laverty but not just as big as tge Saffron with edges squared off.

Slightly smaller bás than the other styles with rounded edges. The traditional kilkenny style has a straight wide shaft and a nice round handle.
